The most important stage in a horses education is the first 90 days of training. Starting a young horse correctly for any discipline will assure a solid foundation to last a life time. Steve has a particular passion for starting young horses and takes immense pride in his two year old program. Having started well over 200 colts with over 30 years experience, Steve works exclusively with each prospect, providing a safe and healthy learning environment, where his expertise ensures a confident, happy and well balanced colt. These priorities achieve continued progress throughout your colts training process and clients can be assured that the soundness and well-being of their prospect always come first. |

A lifetime passion for horses has developed a unique method for training both horse and rider. Steve teaches safety as a priority. Learning how to communicate with your horse, how to read body language and the understanding of your horses expressions and natural instincts will allow you to progress through the stages of training with confidents in both yourself and your horse. The goal is to create a partnership with your horse, while developing the knowledge, skills, timing and feel enabling you to proficiently maintain and school your own horse.

Steve offers one on one personal instruction for beginners through training, maintaining or tuning your show horse. You and your horse will developed the skills to maintain correct body positioning through your stops and turns, correct hand placement and leg cues to effectively help your horse. The importance of good herd work, what to look for when choosing and identifying cattle, and how to separate your cow from the herd. You will learn how to control cattle by reading and rating movement while staying eye to eye with the cow. |
