View Ad Details 'JJ' is a beautiful 3-yo mare that sustained an injury while in training as a 2 yo, after about 2+ months of training. She is now sound and back to work, and doing GREAT! While she is green, she is very willing, smart, and a joy to ride. She's excellent on the trail - her first solo trail ride, she willingly crossed a cement bridge, navigated a small stream, went down a steep incline and into a flowing river, crossed numerous downed limbs, went through dense bush, walked, trotted, loped; all like a seasoned trail horse, and this was her first trail ride and she did it solo!! Yes, she really is that Good!! The ONLY thing she did not like on the trail ride was the horse flies!! After the first one, she would let them land, knowing I would slap them dead. She didn't particularly enjoy the slaps, but she soon realized the enemy was gone! JJ clips, stands for the farrier, is up-to-date on her shots, loads and hauls like a pro. We have her dam, Meradas Lena Lucky, and 'JJ' is very much like her mother, who is proving to be an excellent broodmare who passes on her greatness!! 'JJ' is checked in foal to 'SPOOKS BLUESTEM' FOR A 2011 foal. This fine junior stallion, NCHA $75,000, is by GREYS STARLIGHT and CRABGRASS, who is the dam of THIRD CUTTING.
